The following is a discussion of what the mundane impacts might be as we move from the eclipse of September 21, 2025 to the next eclipse coming on February 17, 2026. I have been uncertain how the impacts from the partial Solar Eclipse on September 21, with the Sun and Moon at 29 Virgo, were going to work out. As others have pointed out, the Talent Triangle involving the outer planets Uranus, Neptune & Pluto speak to three different ways that society norms can be supervened through vision, faith and action (respectively). All three transpersonals are tightly aspected to the eclipsing Sun and Moon, creating a Kite Figure. They are all poised to be able to work together, but need energy from squares and oppositions, as well as what can be interjected through passing transits, in order to create real change. I am confident that big changes are on the way but now, more clearly, see that there is going to be a continual build-up of tension and hopefully action leading up to a culmination coming with the Solar Eclipse of February 17, 2026. That eclipse has the Sun/Moon directly on the Ascendent in the chart drawn for Washington DC. Much will be discussed regarding that eclipse as we come closer in time to it.
The September 21 eclipse looks to be a dichotomy of sorts. There are the flowing aspects of the Kite illustrating the potential for individual and collective vision, faith and action to have pathways available to effect changes that may be sought, with all the trine and sextile aspects between the transcendental planets and the Sun/Moon conjunction. At the same time, there is an internal tension between Saturn/Neptune and Sun/Moon/Mercury that describes a complex astrological configuration where two major planetary pairs are opposing each other. Saturn/Neptune is a tension between structure and dissolution, and it is in tension with our core identity that is trying to emotionally accept and understand what we feel is right intuitively. Other stresses in the 9/21 eclipse chart are coming from Venus and Mars. Venus square to Uranus is illustrating the attempt to awaken us by providing form to the vision of conflict where our personal and collective values are being faced with unpredictable change and our intellectual freedoms are being upended. Mars square to Pluto is telling us that social tension and pressure for transformation, centered on themes of systemic control, personal power struggles and the need to reevaluate collective frameworks are at work, with the need to evolve beyond what is no longer sustainable or in our best interest. Again, this energy is at work both personally and nationally.
Astrology in general, and the attempt to read meaning into eclipse charts specifically, works on both the level of the individual and in more mundane and collective ways. I will discuss how I see the impacts of the planets working in the near future based on how I personally view the current political and cultural situation. If your personal position or vision differs, the same energies can be described in the context of where you might hope they take you and us.
It seems so very clear to me that my great country is teetering on the edge a fall into full-throated authoritarianism. It also seems clear that the masses, and those who lead the majority favoring the Constitution ruling instead of a President, are still hanging on the hope that our country can survive this assault on our freedoms until November 2026 when they hope the tide will turn with the national vote for new congressional leaders. I personally do not believe that any accurate vote by the people will be possible as of November 2026 unless the out of control and destructive power of the President and his cohorts is overcome before then. I may be wrong on the timing, and I hope that, at least with the timing I provide below, democracy can survive until sometime after the February 2026 solar eclipse.
Pluto is already in Aquarius, which will usher in transformative changes in society, technology and collective power structures, but it tends to signal changes well before they are affected. And, the ashes from the past are usually a precondition of the rising from those ashes. Plutogoes direct on October 13 which should signal the start of more rumblings of action, but this will also bring more resistance from those in power as well. Meanwhile, Neptune, still in retrograde motion moves back into Pisces for the last time soon after on October 24. This could mute the effects of Pluto, as people still hope for less aggressiveness to prevail. But this may also portend the final loss of faith that things will work out easily, that those in charge are working for us. Then Uranus, also still retrograde, moves back into Taurus for the last time on November 9 which speaks to impacts from people finally strongly awakening to the fact that their “stuff”, their food, other needed products, and their pleasure are all at risk. Possibly this last run of Uranus through Taurus before returning to Gemini on April 27, 2026 will hit hard enough that the majority will finally see how the radical changes in the environment, resource availability, and the financial world are really working negatively for the vast majority of people.
The Sun, Mars and Saturn join in conjunction on January 18 at 27 degrees Capricorn directly conjunct to Pluto in the USA Sibley chart, just as Venus comes into conjunction with Pluto. This could feel like an aggressive attack on the political structures. Then, just prior to the February Eclipse, Neptune reenters Aries for 13 years on January 27, 2026 heralding the Collective desire and dream to actively pursue what can be almost a spiritual blend of vision and ideals. Will people finally feel enough confidence to voice their individual positions in a bold action-oriented manner? On that same day, January 27, Mars conjuncts Pluto giving aggressiveness to the Aquarian urge. Saturn’s recent retrograde back into Pisces has seemed to mute the efforts to effect structural change, but it goes direct on November 28 and reaches Aries on February 15, 2026 just in time for the February Solar Eclipse. This can give concrete form to the concept that purposeful action is also the responsible thing to do.
The horoscopes for both eclipses are attached below to allow you to follow what I have been describing. Each and every one of us must understand that we can have an effect on this process by the active commitment to action instead of passive hope, even if it seems like we, alone, have no power. And, we each have to carry the message of the need to be actively committed to this transformative process to everyone we know. Together we are a force that cannot be defeated. If, instead, we rely on others, hope for the best but fear that our action will cause us harm, we will end up, not only possibly harmed, but defeated and left without a voice.
